As reported by the Department of Health of the Basque Government, the working table bat was set up on Thursday with the aim of restoring normalcy in the emergency service of the OSI Barrualde-Galdakao, in which representatives of the Health Care Directorate of Osakidetza, the management of this OSI, medical specialists in emergencies and professionals from other services of the Hospital.
The situation has erupted in the OSI as several emergency service professionals are on leave, as the medical director has resigned.
In the note published by the Department of Health, it states that this table will seekagreements and mechanisms to overcome the current situation. It will be a space for building bridges between the parties to "create a climate of trust and thus restore the normal, quality and safe functioning of the services provided to patients."
He has also reported that the people who make up this group have committedthemselves to working discreetly to move forward "as effectively and as quickly as possible", adding that they will act "by avoiding interference by external actors and by avoiding interference with aspects and content other than the case in question".
