The driver of the car involved in the death of a cyclist in Anoeta was arrested on Friday
The driver who hit a cyclist on the GI-3630 road off Anoeta on Friday has been arrested on charges of road safety offences and reckless homicide, as reported by the Basque Government's Department of Safety, where the cyclist died.
The accident occurred at 8 p.m. on Friday, and the health services displaced to the scene were only able to confirm the death of the 53-year-old sportsman in Zizurkil.
The Ertzaintza arrested the driver of the vehicle at the scene of the accident to take him to the police station.
