The boy who had to be taken to hospital last Sunday after being hit by heat blows in the swimming pools of the Fango sports centre in the Rekalde district of Bilbao died today, according to EITB.
The child lost consciousness and had to be revived by the emergency services, who treated him wet but out of the water.
Several minors were also treated for heat blows, dizziness and anxiety attacks.
The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. and the pools were reopened at 7.30 p.m.
