A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Pasaia for drug trafficking
He was seized of a number of drugs he was willing to sell, and the detainee had a pre-arrest warrant in force.
On Monday, the Ertzaintza arrested a 36-year-old man in Pasaia on charges of a public health offence involving cocaine, marijuana and hashish, and the detainee had a pre-trial arrest warrant in force.
On the eve of Kings Day, the Ertzaintza went to the male's home in Pasaia to arrest him by court order. When the officers arrived, they found the suspect on the landing of the staircase as he was leaving the house. He immediately threw a plastic bag in his hand on the floor and tried to enter the house.
After the search, about 20 bags were found, each containing one gram of cocaine and a small bag of marijuana, and another 30 grams of cocaine were found in the bag that the detainee threw on the floor, in bags ready for sale, and just over 250 grams of marijuana.
In this context, the man was arrested for a public health offence, in addition to a court arrest warrant, and transferred to police stations.
In view of all this, the officers of the Ertzaintza requested a court order for the search of the detainee's home, which began on the same day, where they found another 70 grams of cocaine, 600 grams of marijuana, 380 grams of hashish, a precision scale and other elements necessary for its preparation.
The detainee is a 36-year-old man with a police record for similar offences and was brought before the court this morning.
