Resignation of the High Depression Commissioner, Jose Maria Angel, due to controversy over his curriculum
The Socialist leader says he has never falsified any documents. He has also denounced an "unjustified attack" that has damaged his honour and public trajectory.
José María Angel has resigned as Commissioner for Post-depression Reconstruction in the Upper Zone, following the regatta of 29 October, as well as the presidency of the PSPV-PSOE, following the controversy generated by a report by the Anti-Fraud Agency. Doposition according to which Angel used a "supposedly false" title more than 40 years ago to reach a higher rank as an official in the Valencia Council.
In a letter to the Minister of Territorial Policy, Angel categorically denies falsifying the documentation and regrets the personal damage he has suffered, which he regards as a campaign to harm without evidence or possibility of defence.
The former Commissioner emphasizes that entry into the Administration was legal and proclaims a career of more than four decades in public service, stressing that he will retire to defend his honesty and honour.
