Osakidetza launches a website with content validated by professionals for better health management
In the consultation itself, it allows health professionals to prescribe or prescribe certain content (courses, workshops, multimedia material...) so that patients and caring families can increase their knowledge and manage their illness better.
The School of Health + Digital Platform has been launched by Osakidetzato offer content validated by professionals to better care for the disease or prevent its emergence , a pilot experience that began three months ago and in which the first tests have been counted 45,000 visits .
As explained by the Department of Health in a note, the platform is pioneering in the Spanish State, where health professionals can recommend a specific content (courses, workshops, multimedia material) that allows patients and caregivers to expand their knowledge of diseases.
The initiative is in line with the main objective of the 2030 Health Plan, as highlighted by the department.
"One of the main innovations of this platform isthe registration option , which allows users to customize their use andconsult a specific content of their own interest , "explains the Department of Health.
Since its inception, more than 249 health professionals 2,000 content has been made available to the public. Among the published content is information on the promotion of health, such as healthy eating, rest and sleep, as well as recommendations for maintaining good emotional health, oral health, pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, smoking prevention or alcohol consumption.
In addition, citizens can access all the information about thethree programs(breast, cervix and colon) that Osakidetza has established for early detection of cancer .
The platform alsoprovides content validated, verified and updated by professionals on the most common diseases, their symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and care. The School of Health +isalso a place to find news and training materials on health , such as the course on suicide prevention or workshops on Living Patient Care.
