The Basque Government has imposed "exceptional" minimum services on the indefinite strike of gardeners in Vitoria-Gasteiz to "ensure the maintenance of essential services". Enviser is the company outsourced by the City of Vitoria-Gasteiz for the maintenance of gardens and green areas.
Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council requested the establishment of minimum services, but Enviser workers, who started an indefinite strike on March 26 , rejected this possibility because they believe that what they offer is not "essential service."

Thus, it has been orderedthatthe plants of the six major parks of the city (Aranbizkarra, Arriaga, Cathedral, Florida, North Park and St. Martin) be cut, collected and removed, and that the same work be done in a perimeter security zone in the other two large parks (Judizmendi and El Prado) and in the other green areas of the city.
Workers shall also be obliged to cut grass at pedestrian steps, shelters and roundaboutswith sufficient distance to allow the sight of both drivers and pedestrians, and to remove grass and prune branches so as not to prevent the sight of vertical signs and traffic lights.
