The Ertzainas will start collecting salary increases on the October payroll
The Governing Council has adopted a decree validating the agreement regulating the working conditions of the Ertzaintza (until 2028). Agents will receive a minimum annual increase of EUR 4,200 gross and will begin to receive them on the October payroll.
The Governing Council has adopted a decree validating the improvements in the working conditions of the Ertzaintza until 2028, which will result in salary improvements of at least EUR 4,200 gross per year for each agent, which will begin to be paid on the October payroll.
The agreement regulating the working conditions of the workers of the Ertzaintza for the years 2025-2028 was signed last March by the Department of Safety and Security and the unions Erne, Esan and Sipe (representing more than three-quarters of the unions of the Ertzaintza), and ELA criticized the agreement and did not sign it.
The Governing Council recalls that in order to comply with this agreement in the Ertzaintza Negotiating Bureau by 2028, it will invest EUR 45 million progressively and envisages an increase in remuneration appropriate to the functions of each post.
They plan to promote the continuous training of Ertzainas and specialize in research and intelligence to meet the new challenges posed by today's society.
It also includes progressin reconciling personal, family and working life and equality between women and men.
All these new regulatory agreements will begin to apply once they have been published in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country between the end of July and the beginning of August.
However, the Department of Safety and Security recalls that in order to implement the planned changes, a number of updates must be made to the computer application used for the calculation of new payrolls, so payments under the new regulatory agreement will begin to be paid on the October payroll.
