Iran claims to have shot down another U.S. fighter plane in the centre of the country
For the time being, the US authorities have not made statements on the matter; however, they have ensured that one of the crew members has been rescued from the first aircraft.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has assured Friday that it has shot down a second U.S. fighter plane, an F-35,as the offensive launched by the United States and Israel against Persian territory continues.
An Iranian military spokesman, in statements collected by the Mehr news agency, has said thatthe aircraft has been successfully launched thanks to Iranian air defense systems. But the US authorities have so far declined to comment on this.
The Iranian spokesman has also stated that the aircraft has been "completely destroyed" and that "due tothe heavy explosion, the pilot may not have been able to launch himself ".
As forthe first aircraft shot down, in the case of an F-15E, official US sources told CBS News that one of the two crew members has been rescued by US forces.
On the other hand, authorities in Kohgiluye and Buyer Ahmad province in south-west Iran have promised a "special reward" for anyone who catches or kills the crew of the wrecked aircraft, according to the ISNA news agency.
So far, the Iranian authorities have confirmed more than 2,000 deaths from the offensive, including Ayatollah Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, and Defence and Intelligence Ministers Aziz Nasirzade and Esmaeil Jatib, respectively.
