The Basque productions Gaua and Decorado compete at the Sitges Film Festival
Gaua , the third feature film by Paul Urkijo and the work of the bilbaine producer Decorado Uniko, animated film by the Galician Alberto Vazquez, will compete in Sitges in the 58th edition of the Catalan International Fantastic Film Festival.
Both films have the participation of EITB and today it has been announced that they will be shown there from 9 to 19 October at the press conference of the festival organizers.
The third feature film byUrkijo(Errementari, Irati), a story that will arrive in the cinemas on November 14, starring Yune Nogueiras, Ane Gabarain, Elena Irureta and Iñake Irastorza, focuses on Basque mythology: "In the midst of the witch hunt, Kattalin, fleeing from her husband, will leave her farm in the middle of the night.
The feature film by the Galician Decorado Albert Vazquez (Unicorn Wars, Psiconics...) is based on the short film of the same name, winner of the Goya for the best animation short film in 2016.
The work produced by Uni's bilbaine house deals with the decline of a relationship and its impact on the world around it. It is an existentialist fable of satirical humor.
In addition to these works, the festival will be opened by Alpha Julia Ducournau's film, which will reward director and producer Peter Chan, American producer Gale Ann Hurd, French actress Dominique Pinon and Mexican actor Hugo Stiglitz.
In addition, filmmakers Johanna Moder, Mary Bronstein, Eduardo Casanova, Rose Byrne, Dylan Southern, Ben Leonberg and John Mclean, among others, will present their work.
