The Standing Committee of the Socialist Party of Navarre met this morning as a matter of urgency after the Secretary of Organisation, Ramón Alzórriz, announced his resignation yesterday evening.
In his words, Alzórriz has not committed any crime, so "there is no reason to resign" because "there is no record in any report that he has committed any offence."
Thus, he has stressed that there is nothing to link him or the government or the PSN party itself to any kind of corruption. He has justified the resignation of Ramón Alzórriz in the loss of confidence.
Ramón Alzórriz resigned on Wednesday as Deputy Secretary-General of the Navarre Socialist Party, following investigations by the UCO of the Civil Guard , and following the resignation of the PSOE Secretary of Organization, Santos Cerdán.
According to reports, his partner has worked at the company Servinabar , which participated in the construction of the tunnels in Belate, and only yesterday it became public that Cerdán owned 45% of that company.
