The PNV, which has been "building Euskadi"for 130 years, will make a floral offering on Monday to celebrate its anniversary in front of the statue of Sabino Arana, the founder of the Basque Nationalist Party 13 decades ago, in which, among others, the president of the EBB, Aitor Esteban , will take the floor, in which there will be no shortage of members of the party and institutional representatives.
The floral offering will take place a few days earlier than usual, since it is celebrated every year on the 31st, St. Ignatius Day. But this year, after the appointment, both Esteban and the President himself will travel to Boise (USA) to participate in the InternationalFestival of Basque Culture , which has been the reason for the event.
The rendezvous will be from 18:00 in theAlbia Gardens of Bilbao , opposite the statue of Sabino Arana, founded on 31 July 1895 by the Basque Nationalist Party, and since then, according to the jeltzale formation, "thousands of people have been working on the construction of the Basque Country with the aim of the well-being and independence of the Basques".
According to the PNV, "they have made progress in combating two dictatorships and terrorism. The PNV can boast that it has always been on the right side of history and that, by its hand, the country has made major progress in terms of well-being, institutions and self-government", which, according to the party, are "the basic pillars for the vital projects of the Basques, according to jeltzale training".
After the celebration, Aitor Esteban will travel to Boise to participate in the largest Basque festival in the United States from 29 July to 1 August. The International Festival of Basque Culture was held for the first time in 1987 and is repeated every five years since 1990.
The Basque Government has stressed that the2025 BoiseFestival is "the largest Basque meeting" to be held outside the Basque Country and represents "a great opportunity to strengthen relations with the Basque diaspora in North America".
