Gasteiz Gobernu Irekiaren Goi Bilera Globalaren bederatzigarren edizioaren eszenatokia da gaurtik aurrera, 74 herrialdetatik etorritako 2.000 parte-hartzaile baino gehiago biltzen dituen foroa. Euskadi izan zen nazioarteko aliantza horretara atxiki zen lehen autonomia erkidegoa, eta edizio honetan Espainia da buru.
2011n Barack Obama AEBetako presidenteak bultzatu zuen goi-bilera eta alkateak, ekintzaileak, erakunde zibilak eta lehen mailako erakundeetako ordezkariak izango dira bertan. Urriaren 6tik 10era, maila altuko 16 saio eta 40 gai jorratuko dira, besteak beste, kontuak ematea, herritarren parte-hartzea, gardentasuna, prentsa-askatasuna eta trantsizio klimatikoa.
Astelehen honetan hainbat jarduera egingo dira, hala nola gobernu irekiari eta hondamendiei buruzko jardunaldi bat, non Virginia Barcones Babes Zibileko eta Larrialdietako zuzendari nagusiak eta Zulima Perez Segui Dana de Valenciaren osteko berreraikuntzarako ordezkari bereziak parte hartuko duten.
