Prices continue to rise in Hego Euskal Herria. The Basque Country's Year-on-year Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose four tenths in June compared to May and stood at 2.8%, five tenths above the Spanish average.
According to data published this Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the Basque Country is the community with the highest rate, together with the Balearic Islands, with an index of 2.8%.
Asfar as Navarre is concerned, the CPI rose by nine tenths in June and 2.4% in the year-on-year period, with the largest increase in leisure and culture.
In the Spanish State as a whole, the consumer price index for June has risen by three tenths, to 2.3%, an increase of 0.7% over the previous month, mainly duetothe increase in fuel and food and beverages .
