The Spanish Government and the Basque Government have "channelled" the participation of the SEPI so that a Basque consortium can carry out the purchase operation of 29.8% of the Talgo, as announced by its president, Imanol Pradales.
This Tuesday, Pradales himself and the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, held a meeting.
The President of Vitoria-Gasteiz says that the agreement on the Talgo will make it possible to maintain the company's "activity and employment" in the Basque Country.
However, he has not given any further details of what has been agreed.
Last week, the government reported that the SEPI stopped supporting the operation.
