BSH workers will vote next week on the pre-agreement on the employment regulation dossier
The majority of the works council (not LAB and not ELA) has reached a pre-agreement with the management this week that the plant will be closed and 609 people will be laid off. Convened by the workers' representatives, meetings will be held this Friday and the vote is expected to take place on Monday.
In Eskiroz, BSH workers will vote next week for the majority of the Works Council's pre-agreement with management on the ERE this week.
The pre-agreement has been approved by the majority of the workers' committee (UGT, CCOO, ATISS and Solidari), not by LAB and ELA, and the decision will depend on the workers.
According to the preliminary report obtained on Wednesday, the factory will be closed and 609 workers will be laid off — initially there were 655 — and the rest will be relocated. Children under 54 years of age will receive compensation of 45 days' compensation per year worked, without setting a limit on the number of years. En addition, they will receive a reward of 1,500 euros per year.
Pre-retirement will be offered to persons over 55 years of age, with 70% of their gross salary, and in the case of reindustrialization, priority will be given to workers between 50 and 54 years of age.
In addition, relocations have also been put on the table, which will take precedence over possible vacancies within the company.
The trade union representatives began yesterday to explain to the workers the terms of the pre-agreement and today they will hold more assemblies.
Once all has been explained, it is likely that next Monday will decide whether to give the green light to the agreement between the majority of the management and the works council.
