Iberdrola has earned EUR 3562 million until June, 13.8% less in the absence of extra value added
The energy company has improved its adjusted net profit by 20% and increased its recurring Ebitda by 5%, thanks to the growth of the U.S. Network business and cost recognition.
Iberdrola recorded net earnings of 3562.2 million euros in the first half of the year, 13.8% less than in the same period of 2024, when it accounted for asset surpluses in Mexico. Ebitda also fell 13.8%, to 8286.9 million, while sales remained stable at 22 637 million, , as reported this Wednesday by the energy company.
However, regardless of the effect of the added value, the adjusted profit would grow by 20% and the Ebitda by 5%, driven by the Net business, which is 52% of the total Ebitda. The company maintains its double-digit profit growth forecast for the year as a whole.
Investments grew by 7% in the semester, to $5661.7 million, with 54% concentrated in the Networks. In total, Iberdrola has invested $17300 million in the last 12 months and manages more than $157 billion in assets.
He invested $2155 million in renewables, especially in the United Kingdom, the United States and offshore wind. He also expanded his alliance with Masdar to make a joint investment of $7 billion in projects like Baltic Eagle and East Anglia 3.
In terms of asset rotation, it was $1.5 billion, with another $1300 million projected in the second half of the year.
