The Basque industry grew by 0.8% in November, but fell in Álava

Specifically, industry has advanced by 4% and2.4% in Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa respectively, while in Álava there has been a sharp drop of 7.9%, mainly due to the fall in equipment and intermediate goods.
Compared to October 2025, industrial production fell by 1%. By sector, the production of consumer goods fell by 1.5% year-on-year, mainly due to the fall in non-durable goods, food, cleaning or clothing products, which was offset by a 6.7% increase in durable consumer goods.
Equipment, for its part, grew by 3.7% year-on-year and intermediate goods fell by 1.1%, while energy production grew by 2.2% in November.
In the cumulative of the first eleven months of the year, industrial production in the Basque Country fell by 0.5% in total; while Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa closed with slight growth (0.7% and 0.6%), Álava accumulated a decrease of 4.7%.
