From next July 1st, the management of the bus line linking Vitoria and Bilbao will be in the hands of 'Autobuses La Unión', a completely renovated fleet that offers greater comfort and technology for passengers.
The new vehicles will have wider seats, individual USB chargers, free wifi, improvements in accessibility and bicycle anchors, more efficient and less polluting engines.
In addition to the modernisation of buses, the renewal of the concession involves a significant reduction in fares. The simple ticket will cost 6.20 euros, while the users of the BAT, Barik and Mugi cards will have a lower cost of 4.95 euros. Children under 15 will be able to travel free of charge, and one-month and 60 travel bonuses will have a 50% discount for young people under 26.
As for the schedules, the service will be extended from Monday to Thursday until 23:00and on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
They will strengthen the connection with Zuia and, as if that were not enough, they will open a new line that will connect Vitoria-Gasteiz with Loiu Airport, passing through Foronda and Bilbao, which in summer will offer 13 daily services in each direction and for the rest of the nine years.
The ticket between Vitoria and Loiuwill cost 15 euros and the route to Forondawill cost 3 euros.
