The Vitoria Shantytowns have returned paying tribute to the sweaters, full of music and proclamations
The Txosnas Center returns to the Álava Campus with concerts, popular initiatives and protests against the establishment of TicketBAI, while the Txosnas sweaters have been the winners of the Txosnisari.
The txosnas return one more year to the festivals of Vitoria-Gasteiz, one of the most intense and entrenched areas of the White Virgin in 2025, since from 4 to 9 August, the University Campus of Álava will once again become the scene of concerts, conferences, popular initiatives and proclamations.
This year, too, there will be important organizational innovations, such as TicketBai, and a wink of recognition for txosnas sweaters.
One of the issues that has aroused the most controversy has been the "imposition" of TicketBai, a decision that has been strongly criticised by the txosnas committee itself. Although historically they have functioned as a self-managed and non-profit area, the City Council and the Treasury have called for the application of the electronic billing system.
"The Council has fined us and, under threat, forced us to impose TicketBai," the spokespersons for the txosnas in Vitoria-Gasteiz have denounced.
On the other hand, the Txosnisari has been awarded annually to all volunteers who work in the txosnas, who reward people or groups who have contributed especially to the spirit of the txosnas, including those who are on bar shifts, who set the stage, who clean the space, who are on duty or who coordinate security.
