In statements to Radio Euskadi, the Secretary of External Action of the Basque Government has complained that during the 15 months they have been detained they have not respected their rights and have suffered a 'really serious' situation.
As he explained, it is now a question of 'getting home' as soon as possible and being able to meet with family members, and that is why the Basque Government will provide them with all the medical and care they need.
Caballero points out that since their imprisonment, very little information has been received from the relatives of Basoa and Martinez.
"They have had unrest and despair. Now, however, "they are in the hope of ending this horrible nightmare," he added.
