The 'Worthy Pyrenees' platform has called for a demonstration this Sunday in Jaca, Huesca, following the fire in Riglos, which has burned 14,500 hectares since 10 August.
This mobilisation is intended to denounce the "neglect" suffered by the Pyrenees due to the lack of investment in their mountains, and to criticise the "multi-million-dollar investments designed for tourism" while the inhabitants of the territory suffer from the "lackof basic services ".
The 'Worthy Pyrenees' platform says that the origin of a fire may be man-linked or natural, but that 'the consequences of it are due to a lack of policy and investment. We do not have a mobile ICU for 24 hours, the mountain is as it is and the responsibility must be demanded of the person concerned; for us, it is 100% the responsibility of the Government of Aragon ', they denounce.
