Chavistas mobilize to demand the return of Maduro and his wife to Venezuela
The authorities are calling for us to remain on the streets and support the new president, Delcy Rodriguez.
Chavistas have mobilized in Caracas and various regions of Venezuela on Saturday to demand the release and return of Nicolas Maduro and his wife, MP Cilia Flores.
Thousands of Chavistas have taken to the streets in the vicinity of Fort Tiuna, south of the capital, to protest, and local authorities have called for their stay in thestreet and support for President Delcy Rodriguez.
Carmen Meléndez, mayor of the Libertador municipality of Caracas, has participated in one of the mobilizations and has called for "strategic action" to "take care of the life" of Maduro and Flores so that they can return to their homeland "in the shortest possible time."
"Wecontinue to mobilize , as we have done in these seven days, in this daily work of national unity, rejecting that violent massacre that left 100 dead and more than 150 injured. Nobody here gives up, nobody here kneels before any empire, "he said.
Caracas's chief executive, Nahum Fernandez, has explained that the aim of the mobilization has been to send a message to Donald Trump's administration that "the only one who can rule Venezuela (Hugo)is the people of Chavez (Simon) Bolívar and Maduro. "
"We are the only group, the team of President Nicolas Maduro and the First Lady," he said.

Local leaders, including Governor Tim Walz, have defended the need for the Minnesota Criminal Detention Bureau to be involved in the case, but have reported from that organization that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has vetoed their access to material related to the case.
