Culture Square 60 years old, and keep going
The 60th edition of the Durango Fair will begin on Friday, 5 December, and end on Monday, 8 December, in the town of Biscay, with an annual and honourable rendezvous. This year the great meeting of Basque creativity will be 60 years old, and the organizing organization Gerediaga Elkartea, deaf to nostalgia and the temptation of round figures, has taken the opportunity to look forward and adapt the offer to the progress of society.

1,026 cultural novelties (694 books, 163 music productions, 30 magazines and 139 other productions: fanzines, audiobooks, podcasts...) have been purchased and a total of 273 events have been planned for four days, including presentations, talks, concerts, exhibitions, theatre performances...
Towards the beginning of the 60s, Beñat Gaztelurrutia, coordinator of the Fairs, has challenged them to achieve "a number of recipients equal to those of creation": "Creation is abundant and of quality, and we need recipients for all of it."

In the run-up to a new edition of the Durango Fair, the coordinator of the Gerediaga Association, Beñat Gaztelurrutia, has pointed out in ETB1's Egun On Euskadi programme that this is an abundant and high-quality creation: "An entire generation of young people is being created and created," he said, stressing that for all of them recipients are needed.
