Tabakalera premieres a restored version of "La quimera de oro"
Charles Chaplin's film will return in 4K quality to the big screen on Thursday, June 26, to celebrate the centenary of his premiere.
The Tabakalera Cinema Hall will be one of the screens that will project the international premiere of Charles Chaplin's film "The Golden Rush," on Thursday, June 26. The work will return in quality 4K to selected international cinemas to commemorate the centenary of its premiere at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles.
More than 250 cinemas from more than 70 countries will participate in this initiative, programming a restored version that opened the Cannes Classics section of the 78 Cannes Festival.
The restoration has been made possible by the collaboration between mk2 Films, Cineteca di Bologna, L'Immagine Ritrovata and Roy Export, with materials from prestigious archives such as BFI, Filmoteca de Catalunya, MoMA and others.The screening is organized in collaboration with the San Sebastian Festival and the Basque Film Library, within the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of Tabakalera. There are still tickets for 4 euros.
