"Linguae Vasconum Primitiae" can be visited from 11 October at the Basque Museum in Baiona

Today, Tuesday, begins the literary festival in Bilbao, which will last until the 28th. This year he will offer honorary awards to the Gerediaga Association, the Durango Fair organizer, and the American writer and editor Valerie Miles. 

Euskaltzaindia and the Association of Basque Writers have concluded a four-year agreement whereby Euskaltzaindia will provide two annual courses to EIE partners, convene scholarships and launch a mentoring program.  Andres Urrutia, president of Euskaltzaindia, Mikel Ayllón, member of the board of directors of the EIE, and Mira Agur Meabe, writer and secretary of Euskaltzaindia, participated in the signing. 

Bernardo Atxaga, Alana S. Portero, Karmele Jaio, Layla Martínez, Harkaitz Cano, Mario Obrero, Mira Agur Meabe and other writers will participate in the Bilbao International Festival of Letters.

A group of professors from various UPV/EHU departments have decided to promote an initiative to promote interdisciplinary research at the University of Salamanca. "The appearance of different signs of crime at Unamuno's house challenges the UPV to participate in the research that USAL has undertaken," they say.

Seven awards have been awarded in as many sections. In Basque Literature, Unai Elorriaga has been awarded; in Spanish, Garazi Albizua.

Writer Jon Arretxe has set aside Touré's stories and published the black novel "Pigs and Flowers."  It will be on sale at the Durango Fair.
