Pablo Martín Caminero, Merina Gris and the song "Xorieri" Izaro have been awarded at the MIN awards
Carlos Ares and Valeria Castro have won three awards in the Spanish independent music awards; "Al cante" has won the award for the best jazz álbum, "Zuloa" for the best album in Basque and the result of the collaboration between Izaro and Baiuca has won the award for the best production thanks to the work of Alejandro Guillan.
The Vitorian double bass player Pablo Martín Caminero, the electronic pop trio Merina Gris and the songs "Xorieri", the adaptation of Izaro and Baiuca with Oreka TX to the song "Xorieri mintzari" by Mixel Labegueri, were awarded last night in Córdoba in the eighteenth edition of the Spanish independent music awards.
The MIN Awards were created in 2009 as "an essential tool for the national and international promotion of independent music in recognition of the quality, new talents, cultural diversity and artistic creativity of productions published by small and medium-sized music companies."
Thus, the MIN awards have determined that the album by Al cante Pablo Martín Caminero, a Vitorian double bass player, producer and composer (Jorge Pardo, Chano Domínguez, Niño Josele, Rocío Molina, Enrique Solinis...) with the Jerezan singer David Carpio has been the best jazz album.
In addition, Alejandro Guillán, the man behind the project that combines Baiuca electronics with Galician folk, has been selected in the category of best production thanks to the song "Xorieri", with the Mallabian musician Izaro, "Xorieri".
On the other hand, the Etxepare award for the best album in Basque has been awarded to Zuloa Merina Gris, ahead of the works of Ezez and Mirua, as well as Olaia Inziarte and Ruper Ordorika.
Carlos Ares (best album, live and pop album) and Valeria Castro (best song, artist and root album) have won the most awards in Córdoba, while Sangijuelas del Guadiana (best novel artist), Quique Gonzalez (best rock album and original word), Pulp(best international artist) and Ana Curra (award of honor) have also won the awards.
