Sun Ra Arkestra and Snarky Puppy to close the main concerts of the Vitoria-Gasteiz jazz festival
From 13 to 18 July, Ruben Blades, Gretchen Parlato, Take 6, The Bad Plus, Snarky Puppy, Sun Ra Arkestra, Irene Reig's quartet and Magali Sare and Manel Fortiá will be seen at the Vitoria-Gasteiz sports center.
The US jazz band Sun Ra Arkestra was founded in the mid-1950s by composer Sun Ra, who died in 1993. They combine swing, "space-age" free jazz, bebopa, dance and an "afrofuturist" staging, and will perform on Thursday, July 16 in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Earlier, on Wednesday 15, singer Gretchen Parlato and group Take 6 a capela will be the protagonists of the night.
On Friday, Magali Sare and Manel Fortia will face the challenge of heating the Mendizorroza pavilion before Ruben Blades' sauce.
Saturday, the 18th, will be the night of the great bands The Bad Plus and Snarky Puppy.
Tickets for the 49 edition of the jazz festival will be on sale tomorrow at www.jazzvitoria.com The ticket price will be between 30 and 50 euros and the subscription price will be between 165 and 115 euros.
