Eneko Goia will broadcast this morning on Radio Euskadi the first interview following yesterday's announcement
The mayor of Donostia-San Sebastián will speak on Radio Euskadi at 8:30 a.m. on his first interview after announcing his resignation. At 11:00 a.m., the PNV GBB will officially announce his replacement, which appears to be Jon Insausti.
Eneko Goiafaces his first public appearance in the microphones of Radio Euskadi this Friday after announcing on Thursday that he will give to the Mayor of San Sebastian, following the General Policy Plenary.
We will officially know who will take over from Goia at 11:00, in Zuloaga Square, at an event convened by the Gipuzkoa Buru Batzar of the PNV. Jon Insausti Councilman for Culture, Euskera and Tourism may be elected.
Goia, who has been in charge of the San Sebastian City Council for a decade, explained that it is a decision made "long ago" and stressed that "it is good that there are cycles that start and end."
Insausti, in addition to taking over the mayor's office instead of Goia, appears to be the PNV's candidate for the 2027 municipal elections.
