PSOE and Broad Front have agreed to submit a joint list to the Senate
The PSOE and the Broad Front have announced that they will present themselves to the Senate on a unitary list and with a single ballot .
The Socialists and the Broad Front have describedthe agreement as "historic". The agreement has been announced after midnight, when the deadline for notification of coalitions standing for election has expired.
Candidates from both parties will appear on the same ballot under the name of the Senate of Progress. The PSOE argues that the decision has been taken after hearing "the clamour of the streets" to turn these proclamations into "a country agreement that goes far beyond the sum of our acronyms."
The Broad Front has explained that there will be joint candidacies in 47 constituencies supported by PSOE, IU, Sumar, Mas Madrid and Ceuta Ya, to which will be added the agreement of the socialists with Mes and IU and the Sumar Movement in the Balearic Islands and progressive forces in La Gomera.
