Feijóo denies deleting Mazon's messages and claims to have complied with the judge's request
The PP leader has claimed to have sent the requested WhatsApp to court and has requested a telematics statement.
Alberto Núñez Feijóo, president of the Partido Popular, has assured us that he has not erased any of the messageshe exchanged with Carlos Mazón on 29 October 2024, the day of the dana that caused 230 deaths in Valencia.
The People's Party also states that it has forwarded to the investigating judge all the information required in the order received on 22 December.
"I didn't delete any of Mazon's messages," Feijóo said in an interview on the "The Debate."
Among the messages sent are several WhatsApps sent by the former president of the Generalitat Valenciana between 20:08 and 23:29 that day. In one of them, Mazon warned of the damage that Dan was going to cause: "This is going to be a disaster, presi. "
On 24 January, the PP leader sent messages from Mazon to the Catarroja Examining Court as part of the investigation into the management of the dana. In addition, the People's President has requested a telematics statement at the hearing scheduled for 9 January.
In this connection, Feijóo acknowledges that he is surprised by the judge's summons: "Yes, I was surprised that a man 400 miles from Dana, the opposition leader, the judge, is interested in this matter."
PSOE, on the other hand, has asked to send to court all the conversation between the two leaders, including the messages sent by Feijóo and not just those sent by Mazon.
