Stressing that authoritarianism will be "a real threat to peoples and democracy" in 2026, EH Bildu has pointed out that the great powers use "imperialism, wars and the plundering of the planet's natural resources" "to the detriment of peoples" and "in the meantime, the European Union and the elites operating around it have decided to retreat, further deepening the lack of their own project."
For this reason, the Sovereign Coalition considers "the invocation of the Union of Europe to be futile" because it does not have the "equal responsibility required by the historical moment" and has "allowed the authoritarian current to advance." "This passive attitude is also contradictory to Russia's response to the invasion of Ukraine.
Finally, EH Bildu declares the need to "set aside particular interests, prioritizing our country first and promoting cooperation between different people."
