On 1 November, Ubarretxena participated in the establishment and first meeting of the Bilateral Subcommittee on Airport Management and Infrastructure, and stated the objective of the Basque Government to ensure that the Basque Country has the greatest possible competence to manageits airports, as laid down in the Gernika Statute.
In this regard, sources from Ubarretxena's department have indicated that they are trying to find "the best formula for managing airports in the Basque Country" and that they will be working on it at tomorrow's meeting as well.
