The Minister of Territorial Policy, Ángel Victor Torres, has explained that "the Conference of Presidents has a rule that all presidents must be present and that the conditions are not met" because this Sunday there are elections in Castilla y León and they are awaiting investiture in Extremadura and Aragón.

The Spanish Government has explained that at the moment it is impossible to convene a Conference of Presidents to agree on measures in the face of the economic impact of the war in Iran, since the holding of elections in Castile and Leon this Sunday and the still pending investiture in Extremadura and Aragon prevent it.
This is how the Minister of Territorial Policy, Ángel Victor Torres ,responded to the request made by the President, Imanol Pradales, and the President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, to the Head of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez.
"Both the President and the President of the Canary Islands know that there are elections and that we have assemblies and parliaments that are not constituted. The President's Conference has a rule that all presidents must be present and the conditions are not met, "Torres said in statements to journalists at a school in Valleseco, Gran Canaria.
However, the Minister has pointed out that this does not mean that the Spanish Government is not prepared toagree with the Autonomous Communities on rains, although he has clarified that this should be done through bilateral meetings .
"Calm down, relations will be bilateral. The Spanish Government is calling on the political groups because we want to hear their proposals. And also, if an autonomous president asks us for bilateral cooperation for shared measures, there will be no problem for the Spanish Government to do so. "
Angel Victor Torres reminds Clavijo and Pradales that the Government ofthe Canary Islands and the Government of the Basque Countryhave the powers to take measures to mitigate the impact of the increase in oil on the shopping basket; stresses that it would be "understandable" since the Spanish Government will also take measures in areas corresponding to itself.
