The National High Court's decision not to investigate José Antoni Jainaga and two other members of Sidenor's leadership for genocide has not surprised EH Bildu's Secretary General Arnaldo Otegi.

Asked aboutthe death threats reported at the police station  by EH Bildu's General Coordinator, Arnaldo Otegi, the Basque Government's Security Adviser, Bingen Zupiria, has lamented that this type of incident "calls into question our coexistence".

For left-wing sovereigntists, ammunition is an "instrument for protecting the population," the coalition leader said at the Fourth Municipal Conference.

EH Bildu does not share Gabriel Rufián's proposal to unite parties to the left of the PSOE, because for the general election EH Bildu already has a strategy set, to put "the people above the acronym", and in this regard he referred on Monday in Euskadi Irratia to the proposal of minorities to the PNV to go "as a people".

The coalition believes that 2026 will be a key year in Basque politics and has called for "committed and loyal" work in the face of "muddy" people.

The general secretary of the abertzale coalition has stated that he is still surprised that  "after 24 hours, with the silence of forces like the PNV or the PSE-EE." According to him, here "there is no problem between EH Bildu and the PP: it is the backward bloc that has a problem with Euskal Herria."

EH Bildu's Secretary General, Arnaldo Otegi, referred to Díaz Ayuso's statements in an interview at the podcast 'La Cafetera', in which he claimed that ETA is preparing an 'attack' on the Basque Country and Navarre while 'supporting Sanchez'.

The coalition leader has described this reflection as "nonsense" and has reported that his party "does not want to disturb anything, but wants to win elections, make alternative public policies and build a different political status. "

Otegi has insisted that he has never met with Spanish President Pedro Sánchez, nor has he even spoken to him on the phone, although he would not object to it. "Some would take great surprises if I communicated the list of people I have met, "he added.

For her part, the first Vice-President and Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero, has denied having held this meeting and has confirmed that she is not concerned about what former Minister José Luis Ábalos may say.

"I think I have some proven credibility with our people. I've never spoken to Pedro Sanchez. It's about lying and lying. The news is false from beginning to end," Otegi said in ETB2's "En Jake" program about information published by El Español.

The Abertzale coalition assures that it will take all necessary institutional decisions together with other political and trade union forces to curb authoritarianism and stresses that it will never accept an extreme right-wing government where its votes are decisive.

"The PSE must understand that it cannot agree budgets with the PP," not least because "the president of the party is a party that wants to go to prison," EH Bildu's Secretary General said in ETB2's "En Jake" program.

The president of the EBB has lamented that the leader of EH Bildu "for political reasons" provokes "hatred" towards the Basque autonomous police and has asked him to discuss the security model in the lehendakari forum.

EH Bildu's Secretary General, Arnaldo Otegi, has advocated the "recovery" of the Ertzaintza by applying another police model. He believes that Basque society is increasingly moving away from the Ertzaintza.

EH Bildu has appeared together with victims of Francoism and state violence and has called for participation in the demonstration on 22 November.

The Strasbourg Court has dismissed the lawsuit brought against Spain by Arnaldo Otegi, Sonia Jacinto, Rafa Díez, Mira Zabaleta and Arkaitz Rodríguez for the annulment of the sentence imposed on them for belonging to ETA.

In an interview with Naiz Irratia, Arnaldo Otegi has said that there have been no interviews so far, but he hopes that his offer will receive a "positive response." "Unlike last year, there may be opportunities to do things differently. The invitation is on the table and the roads are open," he has reiterated.

According to the EiTB Focus poll, only two of the leaders of the political parties represented in the Congress of Deputies are in a position to overcome, and Aitor Esteban (PNV) gets the best score: 6.8 out of 10.
