Due to the storms of the last few days, the beach of Itzurun in Zumaia appeared yesterday full of microplastics. Naiara Malave, a member of Begi Bistan who works in the Geopark of the Basque Coast, stresses that the problem is global and one of the consequences of the excessive use of plastic in recent decades.

Called by the anti-incinerator platform, they have made a human chain on the beach of La Concha. The protest has traveled from the Alderdi Eder to the beach of La Concha to spread along with the trainees on the high seas. The demonstrators have called for the closure of the Zubieta incinerator under the slogan "Incineration EZ!" Instead of feeding the incinerator, they have stressed that recycling is the way.
