In an interview with Naiz Irratia, Arnaldo Otegi has said that there have been no interviews so far, but he hopes that his offer will receive a "positive response." "Unlike last year, there may be opportunities to do things differently. The invitation is on the table and the roads are open," he has reiterated.

In an interview with Radio Popular, the mayor of San Sebastián, Eneko Andueza, referred on Monday to the criticism levelled at him by the PSE leader, who warned the PNV on Sunday of "endangering" the coalition if he "continued to seek identity agreements with EH Bildu"; on that  asked in Euskadi Irratia on Monday.

Esteban has said that the recent statements by Andueza are "out of place" and create tension and mistrust. In view of this, he has pointed out that the Basque Government is working "well" and that in the field of the Basque Country, with regard to the demand for the Basque language in the OPEs, Esteban is convinced that there is a possibility of reaching "a grand bargain" with PSE-EE.

For EH Bildu's spokesman in the Basque Parliament, the institutional pact between the PNV and the PSE-EE "is unfounded; the fundamental debates are dominated by gaps."
