Since the start of the campaign, a total of 17,465 cases of influenza have been recorded in Osakidetza hospitals, with 2,274 hospitalizations and 74 ICU income. 

After three consecutive weeks of declines in the cases detected, Osakidetza does not expect a "major upturn" for these days, as explained by the Director of Health Care, Koldo Berganzo, who believes that, following the experience this year, vaccination centres will be launched in the three ACV territories in the coming years.

Those over 75 years of age or chronically ill may request an appointment to be vaccinated against influenza and covid.

Pello Latasa , head of epidemiology surveillance at the Department of Health of the Basque Government, explains that the incidence cases of these weeks may be the beginning of the seasonal flu epidemic or a pre-epidemic upturn. This year's scum is the key to the incidence of influenza this year. 

The lehendakari has called on society not to relax in the face of the impact of influenza and to increase the rate of vaccination, since this year its incidence has been advanced among the Basque population, especially in Bizkaia. Osakidetza has recorded an average of 21 in the same period of previous years and this year 192. The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, has warned that the flu "comes strong, strong and aggressive" and the Basque Government has strengthened vaccination with a new point in Bilbao.
