The Sahrawi diaspora of the Basque Country expresses its rejection of the Moroccan autonomy plan
The Sahrawi diaspora of the Basque Country has today concentrated in Vitoria-Gasteiz to show its rejection of the autonomy plan of Western Sahara, which has been raised under the sovereignty of Morocco. The Saharans have recalled that the Spanish State is responsible for "abandoning its people" and have demanded that the Spanish Government publicly reject the autonomy plan in order to hold a referendum on independence.

The Navarre Parliament today welcomed some 100 Saharan children who are spending the summer with their foster families. During the event, the President of the Foral Chamber, Unai Hualde, welcomed the children and mentioned the delay in their arrival due to bureaucratic problems in the Tindouf camps.
