In an interview on Radio Euskadi, Lopez has asked "who led the couple of Ayuso (Alberto González Amador) to this situation."

The spokesman for the Congress, Patxi Lopez, has said that the situation of the Socialists is being very difficult, waiting for news from the investigation into the alleged corruption plot of Cerdán, Ábalos and Koldo. The former lehendakari has been critical of the gradual disclosure of the detailsof the investigation and has stated that they want to know the whole truth once and for all in order to react properly.
