"In fact, we will do everything we can to get the approvals quickly, professionally and routinely, that is, before weeks go by," the letter adds in its usual format: if the EU decides, for some reason, to increase tariffs and retaliate, "the amount it chooses to increase them will add to the 30% we charge. "
