In a statement, the Socialists in Bizkaiahave condemnedthe paintings , which, in the words of the PSE-EE Secretary General in the Basque Country, Mikel Torres, are "unacceptable and unjustifiable" .
"The Socialists know what the violence and intimidation of these cowards is, but they failed to subdue us or deceive society, and they will not succeed," Torres said, after describing what happened as "regrettable."
