Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission approves BBVA's improved offer to buy Sabadell
The Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission has explained that the deadline for accepting the offer will be extended until 10 October, inclusive.
The Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission (CNMV) has accepted the BBVA's improved offer for the acquisition of Banco Sabadell, whose shareholders will have until 10 October, inclusive.
In an important event, the National Securities and Exchange Commission has announced that it authorizes the modification of the characteristics of the op-ed launched by the BBVA on Sabadell Bank, approved on 5 September, according to which the counterpart will be made entirely in shares, with the new emission title of BBVA being changed each by 4,8376 of the Catalan entity.
After the BBVA last Monday asked the CNMV for permission to improve its offer, the approval deadline (opened on September 8) has been suspended until the CNMV approves the book.
Following this approval, and as explained by the National Securities and Exchange Commission, the deadline for accepting the offer will be extended until 10 October , inclusive.
