Iberdrola has made record profits of 6,285 million by 2025, driven by investments of 14,460 million
The gross operating result reported (Ebitda) amounted to 16,592.4 million euros, 1.5% lower than the previous year. Excluding the surplus-value for the sale of smart counters in the United Kingdom and the recognition of business in Mexico in 2024 and the costs incurred in the United States, the adjusted Ebitda in 2025 reached 15,684.4 million euros, 3.1% higher than in 2024, thanks to good activity in the network business.
Iberdrola recorded record earnings of 6,285 million euros in 2025, 12% higher than the 5,612 million in the previous year, driven by investments of 14,460 million euros made during the year, according to the company.
Apart from the surplus-value for the sale of smart accountants in the UK - EUR 379 million - and the recognition of past costs in the US - EUR 389 million - and taking into account the negative adjustments in the Renewable Generation and Customer business in the 'pipeline' of renewables - EUR 465 million - and the impact of 'capital allowances' in the UK - EUR 251 million - the adjusted net profit was EUR 6.231 billion, an increase of 10.5%.
Without these charges, which have been recorded in the last four months of the year, relating to value adjustments with no impact of more than EUR 460 million linked to the renewable project portfolio, the net profitachieved would amount to EUR 6.749 billion.
