The organization has attributed the results of 2025 to the strong growth of its commercial activity and the robust performance of its main strategic lines of expansion and diversification. During the year, the granting of new mortgages increased by 26.3% and financial support to companies boosted wholesale business.
Kutxabankhas recorded a "record" net result of €641.43 millionin 2025, whichis , 19.7% more than a year earlier. Revenue from its core activity has stood at €1,886.2 million, with a 6.3% drop.
The organization attributes the results of 2025 to the strong growth of commercial activity and the good performanceofthe main strategic lines of expansion and diversification . During the year, the granting of new mortgagesincreased by 26.3% , while financial support for companies boosted the wholesale business (increased by 11%).
Overall, the total turnover of thegroup, including off-balance sheet credits, deposits and resources , reached €145.75 billion in 2025, an increase of 8.6 per cent over the previous year, reflecting increasedactivity in both financing and savings and investment management .
In 2025, 79% of its revenue (€1,956.7 million) was earmarked for wages, payments to suppliers, taxes and social dividends. In addition, 60% of its net profit (€384.7 million) was distributed among its shareholder foundations to finance social projects. That same year, it also distributed an extraordinary dividend in Iberdrola shares valued at €400 million and announced that it would raise the payoutto 70% by 2026, based on its growth and solvency level.
Kutxabank recorded a strong growth of in the granting of credit in 2025, partly driven by the fall in interest rates, which stimulated investment demand . In the case ofindividuals and families, the growth of mortgages was particularly evident : the new financing for the purchase of housing reached 4,302 million euros, 26.3% more than in 2024.
In the business sector, financing also increased. Credit to support the business fabric reached a balance of 16,043 million euros, 10.9% more than in the previous year. This activity included corporate banking (which grew by 16% to 7,091 million) and business banking (which grew by 18% to 2,717 million).
In wholesale banks, the area of structured financing (syndicated and resource-free financing or the project finance ) was also highlighted, with operations amounting to €1.3 billion, of which 40 per cent were sustainable financing, and the financing of real estate promotion helped to build 5,911 homes, 43.5 per cent more, and managed €7.1 billion in institutional banks.
The organization also strengthened its commitment to sustainable financing . In 2025 it contributed 3,968 million euros in this type of financing, 55% more than in 2024. Most of it (74.3%) went to companies. In addition, consumer credit grew 40% by "green" criteria and sustainable mortgages accounted for more than 20% of new production.
On the other hand, Kutxabank continued to grow in the management of savings and income through insurance, managing more than €44.6 billion in off-balance sheet resources, with an increase of 14.3% in investment funds and 5.1% in contributions to pension schemes. The insurance business added 123,860 new policies and increased new production premiums by 18%.
