An 18-year-old man has been arrested in Muxika for sexually assaulting several minors at the festival
The Ertzaintza arrested this morning in Muxika (Bizkaia) an 18-year-old man accused of several crimes of sexual assault for touching five underage girls during the festivities in the San Román neighbourhood, and the accused was transferred to the police station to take appropriate steps before being brought before the court.
About one o'clock in the morning, the Ertzaintza received a warning that a man was making sexual touches in the festive grounds in the Roman neighbourhood.
A number of officers from Gernika-Lumo have come to the scene and, thanks to the information provided by one of the victims, have located and removed the alleged aggressor from the festive area for proper identification.
While they were at it, a number of young men have approached the police officers to report that they had been sexually assaulted by the same boy.
In view of the explanations given by several witnesses who witnessed the incident, the Ertzaintza has arrested the 18-year-old accused of sexually assaulting five minors.
He has been transferred to police stations to continue the necessary procedures, after which the detainee will be brought before the court.
