The Ministry of Health is considering how the Euskera will score in the MIR test, but "it will not be a precondition"
Moreover, the language will not alter the tightening of the BAME exam, as Minister Monica Garcia said in the Congressional Health Committee.

The Ministry of Health of the Spanish Government is studying the request of the Basque Government for the Basque Country to score in the Specialized Health Training (ESF) tests, as Minister Monica García said on Tuesday, although she said that the Basque Country "will not be a precondition" and "will not alter the tightening of the BAME test".
The Minister responded to the PNV spokesman, Joseba Agirretxea, during his appearance before the Congressional Health Committee and agreed with the Member that every citizen should be treated in his mother tongue.
However, Minister Garcia doubts that the right can only be guaranteed by introducing some variable into the tests. "MIR professionals are a minority within a health system," she recalls.
According to Garcia, "the use of co-official languages may be a merit, but it cannot be a precondition. We are studying how it can be incorporated into the Ministry, provided that the measurement of the results of the MIR examination, which is objective and precise in terms of knowledge, is not altered."
The minister explained, "It can be examined if the person who took out the number 100 has the same options as the person who took out the number 101."
At a press conference, the minister also referred to the mobilizations of the doctors. Garcia stressed that he is pleased that there is "pressure" and "proclaim that they cannot continue to work as they have worked for the past 20 years."
However, he has reiterated that many of the doctors' proclamations are included in the draft and many others cannot be accepted, such as preventing nurses from prescribing medicines within the scope of their powers.
