The Civil Guard has arrested a 31-year-old man in Treviño (Araba-Burgos) accused of sexually assaulting three minors for two months. The Civil Guard has reported that, by offering gifts and games, he was approaching victims between the ages of 12 and 16.
The arrest took place on 25 June in the framework of Operation Ikihan, when a neighbour of Treviño telephoned the Civil Guard that a man in his 30s was in an inappropriate position.
In view of what was said and in conversation with the other neighbours, the Civil Guard found that the man was walking with the minors, offering them games and gifts, and in that call the neighbor informed the agents that the man had a criminal record for crimes against sexual freedom.
Under investigation, two homes were searched in Treviño and Vitoria, and on 27 June the detainee was transferred to a judge in Miranda de Ebro, who ordered his pre-trial detention.You might like
