At around 8.30 p.m.yesterday, Wednesday, the Ertzaintza helicopter located the body of the man whohad been lost since Tuesday in the Gorbea, located by the helicopter in an area of difficult access, where early indications indicate that the mountaineer had suffered a fall.
The search operation has lasted longer than expected because the judge did not allow the missing person's mobile phone to be geolocated. The lack of permission has caused anger among relatives, even in the search device itself, who had been searching Gorbeia Park since early morning to find the man.
The family explained to the Ertzaintza that the missing person's mobile phone was still giving the signal, but no one was answering the calls. However, in order to geolocate the device, a judge's authorization was required, and the court rejected that request.
Sources from the device have indicated that in similar cases the use of this resource has been authorized, which greatly facilitates the tracing work. This time, the court decision was received at around 3 p.m., but it was negative, which has made it difficult for the search team to work, since it was not possible to delimit the area according to the terminal signal.
