A 90-year-old woman died after being hit at a pedestrian pass without traffic lights, yesterday in Vitoria.
City police have confirmed the death and explained that a team of reports is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The hit-and-run took place at 16:00 on Tuesday at a pedestrian pass without traffic lights on Kings of Navarre Street, opposite numbers 2 and 4.
The woman was trapped under the vehicleand had to be rescued by firefighters with very serious injuries, several fractures and a heavy blow to the head.
The 79-year-old driver is being investigated for an alleged crime against road safety.
